From the Habeeb for Delegate campaign...
SALEM - In a statement released from his campaign headquarters today, Greg Habeeb, Republican candidate for the 8th legislative district, announced the formation of the Business Leaders for Habeeb Committee.
"I am proud to have the support of a broad range of businessmen and women all over the Roanoke/Salem area," said Habeeb. "They know I will be a staunch advocate for our area and will work to create new job opportunities in the Roanoke Valley."
The list of business supporters includes over 30 small and large business owners from Salem, Roanoke and Roanoke County.
"I have known Greg Habeeb for years and have known him to be a strong advocate for the Roanoke Valley and its local businesses," said Dolores Scutellaro. "We moved our family business to Roanoke from New York because of this area's skilled workforce, low taxes, and business-friendly environment. I know Greg will go to Richmond and fight to maintain the Roanoke Valley's status as one of the best places in the country to live, work, and raise a family."
Habeeb is running to fill the open seat in the House of Delegates being vacated by Morgan Griffith, who was elected to Congress on November 2nd. A special election has been called for January 11th, the day before the 2011 session of the Virginia General Assembly convenes.
