Gubernatorial Is One Thing Terry McAuliffe Isn't
The Washington Post's Marc Fisher Gives Terry! a Smackdown
Friday, November 14, 2008
In case you missed it, the Washington Post's columnist Marc Fisher yesterday delivered a devastating (and entertaining) critique of Clinton fundraising honcho Terry McAuliffe's pretensions of having anything real to offer Virginia voters. At least McAuliffe's people have one thing right: Bob McDonnell is indeed the strongest candidate the GOP has put up for a top statewide election this decade. What's unclear is why Syracuse, NY-native, Beltway-bound McAuliffe thinks he's capable of taking on such a strong candidate with deep roots and broad support all across Virginia. This is shaping up to be a fun race to watch.
