Mullins: Falling Virginia Unemployment a Credit to Gov. McDonnell's Common Sense, Conservative Leadership

RPV Chairman Pat Mullins issued the following statement:

"Today's news that Virginia's unemployment rate has fallen yet again is a testament to the focus that Governor McDonnell and his team have placed on jobs from day one of their administration.  

When Gov. McDonnell took the oath of office, unemployment in Virginia stood at 7.3 percent. Now that rate is down to 5.6 percent, the lowest rate in the Southeastern U.S. News like this is proof positive that common-sense, conservative policies - like balancing budgets without raising taxes - are quite effective at putting people back to work.  

Washington could learn a great deal about how to get things done by watching what Bob McDonnell has done in Richmond."
