OFFICIAL CALL

MAY 26, 2009 MASS MEETING OF THE

FREDERICK COUNTY REPUBLICAN PARTY

As Chairman of the Frederick County Republican Committee of the Republican Party of Virginia (the “Committee”), and pursuant to the Plan of Organization of the Republican Party of Frederick County, Virginia and as directed by the Committee, I, Robert W. Seale, do hereby issue this call for a Mass Meeting to be held at the Frederick County Public Safety Bldg. 1080 Coverstone Dr., Winchester, VA, 22602, at 7:30 o’clock PM, on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 (registration opens at 6 o'clock PM), for the following purposes:

A) Nominating a Republican candidate for each of the offices of Board of Supervisors for the Redbud, Shawnee, and Stonewall Districts in the General election of November 3, 2009.

B) And for the transaction of such other business as may properly come before the Mass Meeting. There shall be no resolutions brought before the Frederick County Republican Committee Mass Meeting.

Qualifications for Participation

All legal and qualified (registered) voters of Frederick County under the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, regardless of race, religion, national origin, or sex, who are in accord with the principles of the Republican Party and who, if requested, express in open meeting either orally or in writing as may be required, their intent to support all of its nominees for public office in the ensuing election, may participate as members of the Republican Party of Virginia in its mass meetings, canvasses, conventions or primaries encompassing their respective election districts. All persons wishing to participate in the Mass Meeting must present themselves during registration times listed above to verify and receive their credentials. Those in line at the close of registration shall be permitted to register, but no one shall join the line after 7:30 o’clock PM.

Filing Requirements

Candidates for election as a Republican candidate for the office of Board of Supervisors for the Redbud, Shawnee, and Stonewall Districts in the General election of November 3, 2009 must meet the above qualifications, and shall file a fully executed official filing form available from, Robert W. Seale, 116 Forest Ridge Rd, Winchester VA, 22602. The form must be received by Mr. Seale not later than 5:00 o’clock PM, on Thursday, May 14, 2009. Postmarks shall not govern. Only candidates who have properly filed by the stated date and time with the required fee shall be eligible for election. There shall be no nominations from the floor of the Mass Meeting.

If no more than one candidate files for the nomination for any office to be voted upon at the Mass Meeting, that candidate will be declared the nominee of the Republican Party. If only one candidate files for each of the offices to be voted upon at the mass meeting, then no Mass Meeting will be held.

Filing Fees

There is no mandatory filing fee to participate in the Mass Meeting.

The filing fee for each candidate for the Board of Supervisors shall be $100.00

A voluntary registration fee of $15.00 is requested for each participant in the Mass Meeting.
